I was a member of DECA during high school and was offered a scholarship to go to Johnson & Wales. As a freshman, I was a Rhode Island Delta Epsilon Chi State Board Representative for Johnson & Wales. I am currently the RI DEX President and helped train other students for the DEX International Career Development Conference being held in Orlando, Florida in April. By being active in both Leadership Academy and Competitive Events, I have been able to compete and win numerous awards.
NSO has given me the opportunity to practice marketing skills by recruiting students to participate in events and become more involved with the organization. I have acquired leadership qualities as the RI DEX Vice President as well. NSO has allowed me to make priceless contacts with fellow students and faculty, which could help me advance my career well after college.
I plan to graduate in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing Communications and a concentration in Psychology. Upon graduation, I hope to work in media buying or advertising. My dream job would be to work for ESPN.
