The time to plan for a post-graduate career is now! More than 60 local, national and multi-national employers will visit our campus, prepared to tell about their companies and inform and answer questions about employment opportunities; some will offer interviews that afternoon.
Career Conference allows students to explore career options, apply for jobs (from internship and volunteer opportunities to post-graduation careers) and demonstrate the professionalism and networking skills honed in coursework and experiential learning programs. Participating employers will have the option to meet over 1,000 career-minded students and alumni.
Each College of Business freshman will be required to attend one section of the NSO Career Day Carnival. There will be 10 booths featuring the 4 NSO divisions, NSO Alumni Booth, Professional Dress for Men, Professional Dress for Women, Hairstyle and Makeup Counter, Etiquette Tips (Whose Line Is It Anyway?), and Interviewing Guidelines (Mr. Right and Ms. Wrong).
There will also be professional leadership and business exercises to enhance team building skills and the entrepreneurial spirit to include Survivor, You’re Fired! and Millionaire. Freshman participants will be asked to visit the NSO booths, participate in the exercises, and provide name and contact information for their NSO division of interest. The event will have a carnival theme with appropriate music, décor, attractions, and a Master of Ceremonies.
