mapThe Global Outreach program is community service learning at an international level. Our focus is on improving some of the key social issues such as hunger, homelessness, and education globally, as well as improving the economic and social means of neighborhoods through community-driven projects.

Global Outreach Mexico is headed by an organization called Los Niños, whose programs address the basic needs of communities by building the capacities of community members to become agents of a positive change. In 2006, students had the opportunity to pave a school’s sidewalks, paint the walls of a local high school, and interact with the orphans.

**Temperature

Please note that temperature varies greatly throughout the year.  During the “winter months” (November-March) there is an average low temperature of about 45 degrees Fahrenheit.  There is no insulation in any of our facilities so a temperature of 45 degrees Fahrenheit feels very cold.  In the warmer months (April-September) the low temperature ranges from the mid 50s to the mid 60s.  The summer months can be hot, but the temperatures generally remain in the mid 80’s. When packing for your trip, please take weather considerations into account.
