Student Assistant Position

Position Summary: The student will assist with daily
operations of the NSO Office as well as various activities and events that the
NSO divisions take part in.
Minimum
Requirements
- The
position requires the student to work 20 hours per week during regular
business hours (Mon-Fri
8:30am-4:30pm)
- Preferably
one year commitment
- It is
preferable that the NSO Student Assistant be an active NSO member as the
student needs to be fluent with the various associations within NSO
- General
knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
Job Duties
- Helps
to coordinate and promote numerous NSO events:
- NSO
Kick Off Event
- Regional
Role Play competition on campus
- Career
Day NSO Event
- DEX
Collegiate Leadership Academy
- DEX
National Conference (ICDC), SKillsUSA Nationals, PBL Nationals
- NSO
Recognition Events
- Liaison
between the NSO academies
- Assists
advisors with activities as needed (i.e. competitive events trainer)
- Responsible
for recording and distribution of NSO E-Board meeting
minutes
- Attends
Student Activities Night and Student Activities Training Days
- Meets
with student activities and file for budget appropriations as needed
- Collects
student dues
- Processes,
packages and ships boxes via DHL
- Assists
with training work study students
- Processes
scholarship applications
- Maintains
the NSO information center
- Other duties as assigned
